Cone Beam CT (CBCT) Scanner
A Cone Beam CT gives us a 3D view of your teeth, jawbone, nerves, and sinuses in seconds. Unlike traditional 2D X-rays, CBCT shows us exactly where roots are, how thick your jawbone is, where nerves run, and whether there are hidden fractures or cysts we could not see otherwise.
We use CBCT for:
- Diagnosing root fractures invisible on regular X-rays

Digital X-Rays
Our digital X-ray system exposes you to up to 90% less radiation than film X-rays while producing sharper, higher-contrast images. The images appear on our monitor within seconds, so we can show you exactly what we see and explain our diagnosis in real time.
Panoramic X-Rays
A panoramic X-ray captures all of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures in a single image. We use this for comprehensive emergency exams, wisdom tooth evaluation, and treatment planning. Painless and takes about 15 seconds.
Intra-Oral Cameras
Tiny high-resolution cameras let us show you what is happening inside your own mouth on a monitor. You see exactly what we see, which makes it easier to understand your diagnosis, treatment options, and the reason for each recommended procedure. Great for patient education.

Radiation Safety
All of our imaging follows ALARA principles (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). We use the minimum radiation needed to get the diagnostic images required. Digital X-rays, in particular, expose patients to far less radiation than film X-rays of 10+ years ago.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the imaging safe?
Yes. Modern dental imaging uses very low doses of radiation. A full set of digital X-rays exposes you to less radiation than a few days of natural background radiation.
Will you take new X-rays if I just had some at another office?
If the X-rays are recent (within 6 months) and of good quality, we can usually use them. Bring them with you on a USB drive, CD, or email.
Why do I need CBCT instead of just regular X-rays?
Regular X-rays are 2D and miss important details for complex cases. CBCT gives us a 3D view that is essential for safe oral surgery, hidden fractures, and implant planning.
Is CBCT expensive?
The cost is usually included in your treatment plan when clinically needed. We do not order imaging unnecessarily.
How long does imaging take?
Digital X-rays: seconds. Panoramic: 15 seconds. CBCT: under 30 seconds.
