Once the emergency is under control, the next question is how to put your smile back together. Restorative dentistry covers the full range of treatments that rebuild damaged teeth and replace missing ones. At Macomb Emergency Dental Clinic, we handle restorative work in-house and often start it the same day as your emergency visit when possible.

Our restorative services are priced transparently and completed as quickly as your case allows. For patients needing complex work, we phase treatment to prioritize what is urgent and spread out the rest. CareCredit financing is available for larger cases, and Medicaid covers many of our restorative services for eligible patients.

Restorative Treatment

How Restorative Treatment Works

Every case starts with a thorough exam and X-rays, which are included in your $150 emergency visit. If restorative work is needed, we explain your options, show you the imaging, and give you a written treatment plan with pricing before any work begins. Many restorations are completed in a single visit. Some (crowns, dentures) require two appointments.

Insurance

Insurance and Payment Options

We accept Medicaid, Delta Dental, and Medicare, and offer CareCredit financing for larger cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does restorative work last?

With good care, crowns and bridges typically last 10-15+ years, fillings 5-10+ years, and dentures 5-10 years before needing relining or replacement.

Can you do restorative work the same day as my emergency visit?

Often yes, especially for fillings, bonding, extractions, and denture repairs. Crowns and root canals may take one or two follow-up visits depending on the case.

Do you use tooth-colored materials?

Yes. Our standard fillings are composite (tooth-colored), and our crowns use porcelain or porcelain-fused-to-metal depending on the tooth.

Will my insurance cover this?

Most dental insurance plans cover a portion of restorative work. We verify benefits before treatment so you know your out-of-pocket cost in advance.

What if I need a lot of work?

We phase treatment. Urgent care comes first, then we build a realistic plan for the rest, with CareCredit financing if needed. You do not have to do everything at once.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, we welcome walk-in patients during our normal business hours. We do our best tosee you as quickly as possible.
