Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a dental emergency?
Severe pain that over-the-counter medications will not control, uncontrolled bleeding, facial swelling, knocked-out or loose teeth, broken teeth with sharp edges or exposed nerves, and lost crowns or fillings causing pain.
Do I need an appointment?
We encourage calling first so we can prepare, but we accept walk-ins whenever possible. Calling lets us triage over the phone.
What if the ER already saw me?
Bring any records or imaging they gave you. Hospital ERs generally prescribe antibiotics and pain medication but do not treat the underlying dental problem. We pick up where they left off.
How much will it cost?
See our full pricing page. Emergency exam with X-rays is $150. Extractions start at $125, fillings at $160, and root canals with crown at $950. We accept Medicaid and most major insurance.
Should I take antibiotics before coming in?
Only if prescribed by a doctor. Do not take leftover antibiotics or someone else's prescription. Over-the-counter pain relievers (ibuprofen, acetaminophen) are safe until your appointment.
