Walking into an emergency dental clinic is stressful enough. Understanding what will happen, what it will cost, and what you need to bring should not add to that stress. This page collects the most important information for new and returning patients, and our team is always available by phone to answer any question this page does not cover.

First Visit

What to Bring to Your First Visit

  • A photo ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport)
  • Your Medicaid card, dental insurance card, or both
  • A list of current medications, including dosages
  • A list of any allergies, especially to medications or latex
  • Name and contact info of your primary care doctor and regular dentist, if any
  • If your emergency involves trauma, any records or imaging from the hospital or urgent care

What to Expect

What to Expect During Your Emergency Visit

1. Fast Check-In

When you arrive, our front desk will verify your insurance and get you into a treatment room as quickly as possible. Emergency patients are prioritized over routine visits.

2. Exam and Diagnostic Imaging

One of our doctors will examine you, take X-rays or a Cone Beam CT scan if needed, and identify the cause of your pain. Most emergency diagnoses take 10 to 20 minutes.

3. Treatment Plan and Transparent Pricing

Before any treatment begins, you will know exactly what it will cost. We will explain your treatment options, including what can be done today.

4. Same-Day Treatment

For most emergencies, we complete treatment during the same visit. Extractions, temporary crowns, denture repair, and most root canals can all be done on-site.

5. Aftercare and Follow-Up

You leave with clear written aftercare instructions, any prescriptions needed, and a plan for follow-up care. If you have a regular dentist, we send them a full summary so your long-term care continues smoothly.

Insurance and Payment

We accept Medicaid, Delta Dental, and Medicare. For patients without insurance or with high deductibles, we offer CareCredit financing with monthly payment options. All major credit cards, debit cards, HSA/FSA, cash, and personal checks are accepted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?

We strongly encourage calling first so we can prepare for you and reduce your wait, but we accept walk-ins whenever our schedule permits. Calling gives us a chance to triage over the phone and tell you what to do while you are on your way.

How long will my visit take?

Most emergency visits run 45 to 90 minutes from check-in to discharge.

Will I be in more pain after treatment?

In most cases, no. Patients typically leave with significantly less pain than when they arrived. Expect some soreness for 1-3 days after extractions or surgical work, which we manage with over-the-counter and, if needed, prescription medication.

What if I cannot afford treatment?

Call us. We offer CareCredit financing, and we will work with you on prioritizing the most urgent parts of your treatment. No one should suffer through a dental emergency because of cost.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, we welcome walk-in patients during our normal business hours. We do our best tosee you as quickly as possible.
